# Pin an edge to a target version (staff) (/docs/api-reference/edges/OtaController_deploy)

`POST /api/edges/{id}/update`

Base URL: https://api.xentr.ai

Authentication: bearer token (`Authorization: Bearer <token>`).

Sets edges.target_version so the next manifest poll serves this version. The version must be published to a release channel first.
