Introduction

A guided course — from an empty account to a running, staffed factory on Xentr.

Learn is a course, not a reference. Each chapter builds on the one before it, and by the end you'll have done every core thing Xentr is for — not read about it, done it.

What you'll build

Working through the chapters in order, you will:

  • Set up your access — sign in, land in your organization, and (optionally) mint an API token.
  • Model a product — define what you make, its production method, and the target rate every order is measured against.
  • Plan and run an order — schedule a production order onto a machine, start it, and watch progress land live on the floor views.
  • Close it with quality data — record good versus reject at closeout, so scrap shows up by product instead of in a month-end spreadsheet.
  • Staff the factory — invite planners, technicians and QA with the right role each, least privilege by default.

That's the full loop: model → plan → run → close → staff. Everything else in Xentr — OEE, reports, the wallboard, the copilot — feeds off the data you'll create here.

How to use this course

  • Do the chapters in order. Each one assumes the last one's result exists.
  • Budget about 30 minutes end to end. Every chapter leaves you with something working.
  • You only need a browser. The API appears once, optionally, in the setup chapter — the whole loop works from the dashboard.

When you're done, Next steps points into the deeper guides and the API reference.
